Weekly Wind-Up #2247 2247 ? 7 May 2026 SOUTH WIMBLEDON The Trafalgar, 23 High Path, Wimbledon, London. SW19 2JY We last visited 'The Traf' early last year. This small back street local, dating from 1860, was closed for a while and the future seemed in doubt, but it rose from the ashes in September 2023 and we are delighted that it did. The pub was once given the nickname the 'Threepenny Hop' as it was said that men would occasionally hop over the fence from the former Merton Abbey railway line for a threepenny pint. Mild has been requested (but not at 3p a pint) for our visit tonight. The pub opens at 15:00. South Wimbledon Northern Line is nearby but you could use a class 450 to Wimbledon, from where there are frequent buses.

There will be double headed trains and even some trains banked to Pendre, re-creating the busy periods where the trains were longer than could be handled up the steep Wharf cutting! The Railway had its first visit from one of the Reverend Wilbert Awdry's famous Little Engines during the 1980s, and from what we hear a certain engine is very keen to be the centre of attention - so who knows what might happen! As the light starts to fade on Saturday, that doesn't mean the fun is over - it's time for? OVERNIGHT STEAM No.4 'Edward Thomas' and No.1 'Tal-y-llyn' at Pendre Sheds - Luke Ryan Saturday will also see the return of Overnight Steam to the Railway for the first time in 11 years, with steam hauled services running throughout the night and straight through into Sunday morning! There will be two trains running overnight, providing chance to change trains and really explore the Railway under the cover of darkness. If you only want to ride on the overnight trains and none during the day, we've a special ticket just for that too!

Well we are here to encourage you to start building a simple layout that doesn't have to take up much space. The first thing that you have to decide what type of railway you want: One big decision you have to make is the scale - i.e. how many millimetres you are going to have to represent a foot in real life; and gauge (the distance between the rails). For instance the gauge of the all the main railways is 4ft 8½ in and that of the Ffestiniog Railway is 2ft. To help you with this we have models of differing scales and gauges here. If you are interested in modelling a narrow gauge line you can do no better than in 009. If you are tempted to purchase anything now, the shop at Harbour Station has a fine selection. These can also be found on the webshop.

Double Up Sunday' Class 47 Sunday May 17, 2026 The sound of a 2,580 bhp Sulzer 12LDA28-C diesel engine rumbling through Greet Tunnel is hard to beat, especially when there's two of them! Home resident Brush Type 4 (British Rail Class 47) Co-Co diesel-electric locomotives No's 47105 & 47376 will be 'Doubling Up'on Sunday the 7th September on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, both double-heading and top 'n' tailing train services throughout the day, giving visitors and diesel enthusiasts the full 'Brush' experience. 512 locomotives were built between 1962 and 1968, with construction being carried out at Brush Traction's Falcon Works in Loughborough and British Railways' Crewe Works. With the decline of steam and with diesel-hydraulics falling out of favour - the latter had become synonymous with the Western Region, the Class 47s quickly became the work horse of the new diesel-electric era. Fitted with powerful 2,750bhp Sulzer 12LDA28-C engines (which were later de-rated to 2,580 bhp to aid reliability), the Brush Type 4s could be found at home on both freight and passenger services across the railway network. Large numbers of the class took charge of express passenger workings which for many years had been the preserve of prestigious steam locomotives. The locomotives had a route availability of 6& 7 (RA6/7) and many examples led colourful and interesting lives wearing a myriad of liveries. A number of subclasses were developed over the years to meet the ever changing landscape and needs of British Rail and the Privatisation era which subsequently followed during the mid-1990s. Between 1998 and 2004, Brush Traction rebuilt 33 examples fitting them with EMD 12-645 engines and reconditioned alternators, which became the British Rail Class 57s. Popular with rail operators and enthusiasts alike, over 70 members of the Brush developed Class 47 still exist today, either in active mainline service, longterm storage, or in preservation. The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway currently has two members of the class in its home fleet which are both permanent residents. 47105 (D1693) is owned by The Brush Type 4 Fund and was built by Brush Electrical Machines Ltd at Loughborough in 1963. The locomotive was accepted into traffic on the 6th December 1963 as D1693 and operated for the best part of 30 years before being stored unserviceable on the 1st November 1993. 47105 was withdrawn from service on the 13th December 1993 and was purchased by the BrushType 4 Fund on the 24th January 1994. The locomotive was transported to the GWR in April 1994 and started for the first time in preservation 1 month later. Since then, a considerable amount of work has been carried out on the 47 culminating in the reinstatement of its steam heat boiler - thus making 47105 the first Class 47 to steam since 1987. The locomotive returned to passenger service on the 16th July 2021 following a 10 year overhaul, including a full repaint into British Rail Blue livery. 47376 (D1895) is owned by The Brush Type 4 Fund and was built by Brush Electrical Machines Ltd at Loughborough in 1965. The locomotive was accepted into traffic on the 1st September 1965 as D1895 and operated for the best part of 36 years before its last working on the 8th June 2001. Whilst operating the Southampton freightliner (4O07) in the Oxford area, a piston dropped into the engine sump writing off the Sulzer 12LDA28-C engine - the train was subsequently assisted to Southampton by a Class 57. The Class 47 was purchased by The Brush Type 4 Fund in November 2002 and transported to the GWR in 2003 after receiving a replacement engine at Ashchurch from sister loco No. 47295 - The engine swap took place on 21stJune 2003 following 47376's arrival from Southampton Maritime. An interesting fact is that 47376 was the first locomotive to wear the Freightliner Triple Grey livery.

The Gosh Ness Monster Friday 22nd May 2026 to Sunday 24th May 2026 Take a Hastings DEMU to Scotland?... it will never happen, they said! Well, with thanks to GBRf and Hastings Diesels Limited (HDL), we are pleased to present this exciting opportunity to travel on the Hastings DEMU on an exploration from the Southern extremities of Tonbridge, all the way to Inverness, and back again! A first-time visit of a Hastings DEMU unit to Scotland... it's going to be an experience that will stay with you forever. And in true BLS Style, we will be covering a number of loops and items of rare track, which we are sure a Hastings unit has never frequented before. The Hastings DEMUs are from a class of 23 diesel-electric trains built in the late 1950s to replace steam-hauled stock operating between London and Hastings via Tunbridge Wells. The six-coach units, incorporating diesel generators at each end, were unique in having especially narrow bodies which enabled them to pass through the unusually narrow tunnels on the Hastings line. We are very lucky to still be able to travel on one of these beautifully maintained units, after they were finally withdrawn in 1986. With a number of convenient boarding points from Tonbridge, all the way up the WCML, you are sure to be able to join us for this fantastic weekend away. We will have numerous photo stop opportunities as we head North to enable you to capture that unique and priceless photo, and make sure you wave at the numerous photographers who will be out to see this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. After our trip up the WCML, covering a number of rare and sought after loops, we expect to arrive in Edinburgh in the early evening on your first night, allowing time for some socialising with friends, or to explore this spectacular City. On Saturday, you have time for breakfast before we leave the rather unusual platform 0 at Haymarket for our scenic journey to Inverness, via the Highland Main Line. Inverness, a large city on Scotland's northeast coast, where the River Ness meets the Moray Firth, is the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands, and, of course, the home of the Loch Ness Monster! You will have a couple of hours' break here to enjoy the crisp, clear Scottish air and maybe a meal and drink in one of the many local restaurants and pubs near the station. We leave Inverness around 15.00, heading for Haymarket, but this time via Elgin, Keith and Aberdeen, before heading south along the spectacular coastline, finally crossing both the Tay and Forth Bridges, arriving back into Haymarket for more time at leisure in Edinburgh. Sunday is of course our day to head home, but again, you will have time for breakfast before joining us at Edinburgh Waverley this time for our run via the WCML, crossing London via Kensington Olympia and finally arriving at Tonbridge in the late evening. As you would expect, and to keep out of the way of a significant number of faster services, we will cover a number of rare loops and crossovers on our route south. We are working in partnership with the fantastic team at HDL, who will provide their famous buffet service and souvenir sales stand. There will be a charity raffle each day supporting our amazing good cause. The Buffet car, accessible to passengers in DEMU 1013 will be open throughout for the sale of hot and cold food & drink at reasonable prices. In addition, a mini-counter service will operate from one of the van ends in DEMU 1001. Standard Plus guarantees a seat in a DMBS vehicle, so you are in prime position to hear the English Electric engine working hard! And for those of you that love a good table, convenient for your maps, snacks and well-earned refreshing drinks, we will be delighted to confirm that table seating will be allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. This charter will be raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. All times and routing are indicative until confirmed by Network Rail. Final routing and timings are usually confirmed by Network Rail five days before travel and will be enclosed with your e-ticket. Heritage in Motion - featuring LBSCR H2-Class Atlantic No 32424 'Beachy Head' 23-25 May 2026 Unlimited steam train rides. Explore our living museum and experience 200 years of railway heritage Join us this bank holiday weekend as we welcome LBSCR H2-Class Atlantic No 32424 'Beachy Head' to Didcot Railway Centre. This is her maiden voyage to a heritage railway since restoration and is with kind thanks to The Bluebell Railway Trust. You'll have a rare chance to see her in an original engine shed environment - a true lost classic returned. This magnificent locomotive is the result of a project to reconstruct a Brighton H2 Atlantic based on SR/BR period 'Beachy Head'. It is based around a suitable boiler, and includes various other original H2 components given to the project, including the locomotive's original regulator handle and whistle, and a class identification plate. The locomotive was launched into service on the Bluebell on 18 August 2024, the culmination of 24 years work by a dedicated team of engineers, fundraisers and supporters. The decision to recreate this locomotive, enabled by the discovery of an ex-GNR Atlantic boiler (essentially identical to that used on the H2) in superb condition in a factory in Essex in 1986, is due to the significance of this particular locomotive to the Bluebell itself. It was: * an iconic Brighton express locomotive; * the very last Atlantic running in BR service; * used on many railtours in the 1950s, including several over the Bluebell line; This loco's scrapping in 1958 led Brighton enthusiasts to realise that action was required to save something of the history of the LB&SCR before it was too late, and led to the first meeting of what became the Bluebell Railway Preservation Society in 1959. With our 'heritage in motion' theme, we also hope to have lots more gems of preservation to excite you, and if it moves, we want you to see it moving! Whilst we can't guarantee all of these, a mix of the following will be available on each day:- * Wickham Trolley * Pump Trolley * Demonstrations of our wheel drop in action * Demonstrations of our 50 ton hoist * Use of the Coal Stage * Use of our traverser * Use of our turntable * The chance to see inside our travelling post office at close range
The Golden Hind Saturday 23rd May Destination: Plymouth Departing from: Birmingham Snow Hill, Widney Manor, Warwick Parkway, Banbury, Oxford, London Paddington Classes of Travel: Pullman, First Class & Standard (Non-Dining) We journey across the Midlands, Great Western Mainline and the South West with Western Champion, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the end of her working career under the Western Region of British Railways.
The West Midlands Deviator Saturday 23rd May 2026 With 2026 close to yielding the maximum daylight, we are delighted to offer you an opportunity to explore the railways of the West Midlands in some depth. That's not all - included is some sought after track that is very likely to be required (Burton Wetmore Depot) and a line up of splendid English Electric heritage traction. For those wishing to maximise their mileage - the day starts early. We have opened up what otherwise would have been an empty coaching stock move to our passengers - affording you the opportunity to enjoy Romic Class 20 haulage from Derby (or East Midlands Parkway) to Bedford, where our tour proper will begin. Our return journey to East Midlands Parkway will be behind a splendid Class 50 locomotive provided by the Class 50 Alliance. We deviate via Castle Donington to approach Burton on Trent from the East. We will need to cross the entire ladder at Wetmore Junction so as to gain access to Nemesis Rail Depot. Here we will negotiate at least one of the roads adjacent to the shed building and, subject to the usual operational caveats, we may receive a little traction assistance from a resident locomotive. On departure, and after further navigation of the crossovers that form Wetmore Junction, we head west passing Lichfield City and following the Sutton Coldfield line. At Aston, we are routed via the diversionary line to Stechford and on to Leamington Spa via the Kenilworth Branch. After what we hope will be a quick reversal, and with the Class 20 locomotives once again at the helm, we proceed to the historic town of Stratford upon Avon. For some, the opportunity of a two hour lunchtime break perhaps to visit one of the many public houses and restaurants will prove compelling. For others however, the opportunity to further explore the local railways will take precedence as we embark on a lunchtime mini tour to Birmingham Moor Street via Whitlocks End and back. Our second departure from Stratford upon Avon once again takes us to central Birmingham - this time New Street station and pathed routed the alternative route via Dorridge. We climb through the tunnels to the west of New Street station, invariably a test for most diesel locomotives on long passenger trains and the acoustic performance can be eagerly anticipated. We veer right at Soho South Junction so as to route us towards Bescot and Walsall where we reverse. Once again the Class 20's lead and we take the route via Darlaston Jn as far as the goods loop at Bushbury Jn, where again we reverse so as to join the Oxley Chord towards Alstom's Oxley Traincare Centre, which we pass. However, we journey only as far as Codsall. Here another reversal uses the crossover outside of the station - most uncommon for a locomotive hauled passenger train. We continue via Wolverhampton station, Bescot and Aston into Birmingham New Street allowing those who wish to do so an opportunity to alight. For those who remain, our class 50 locomotive is now employed to take us back across the Sutton Coldfield line and via Castle Donington for set down stations south as far as Bedford. UK Railtours would like to thank our operator Hanson and Hall Rail Services, the Class 50 Alliance and Romic Group for the provision of today's locomotives. We would also like to thank Nemesis Rail for the provision of Mk3 rolling stock and their invaluable contribution towards today's train. All timings are provisional and intended only as a guide. Our return route will be via Bristol, Bath and Salisbury back to London Waterloo. Departing from London Waterloo, we will thread our way steam hauled through the west London suburbs towards Woking and Basingstoke, where there will be stops to pick up passengers. We continue to follow the London & South Western Railway's main line to Salisbury and Exeter, following the route of the old ACE expresses. After the Salisbury water stop, we will follow the main line through to Templecombe, which will give our steam locomotive an opportunity to get up to its maximum permitted speed. We will pass the Yeovil Junction steam centre as we continue westwards and take on the challenging 1 in 80 climb up Crewkerne Bank. After Axminster, there is further adverse climbing as we encounter the testing eight miles of mainly 1 in 80 up to Honiton Summit. Descending gradients then lead to Exeter, where we will have an afternoon break to visit this historic city, with its Cathedral at the very centre of the city. ?With our steam locomotive serviced ready for our return journey, we will now follow the Great Western Railway's Exeter to Bristol route, which includes the long climb up Wellington Bank towards Taunton. A fast run across the Somerset Levels then brings us to Bristol. We pass through Bath and Westbury before reaching Salisbury once again. The ACE will now retrace our earlier steps back to London Waterloo, setting down as outwards, and thus ending a varied and interesting day out over classic railway routes. Available Classes Premier Dining Premier Dining includes a full English breakfast and four course dinner freshly prepared on board and silver served at your seat. Bagnall Bank Holiday May 23rd @ 11:30 am - May 25th 2026 @ 4:00 pm At Apedale, we also work closely with our friends at two other narrow gauge railways. They are the Amerton Railway, near Stafford, and the West Lancashire Light Railway, at Hesketh Bank (between Preston and Southport). Each railway has a loco built by Bagnall of Stafford. Amerton has 'Isabel', West Lancs has 'Sybil' and we have 'WOTO' at Apedale. To celebrate this, all three railways will operate their Bagnall locos other this bank holiday weekend - and special tickets will be sold allowing a ride on each railway over the bank holiday period. In essence, travel on two railways and the third one is free! What better way to experience three of England's narrow gauge railways and with a Stafford-built common thread linking it all together.

This will go straight to the events team who will confirm your spot prior to the event. We are accepting motorbikes, cars and other small vehicles no bigger than a standard van.
Flying Scotsman in operation at GCRN 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 May 2026 The Great Central Railway, Nottingham in partnership with Fox & Edwards Events is to host the legendary locomotive in May 2026 - with tickets already available. The visit comes as the centrepiece of the railway's relaunch following several years of non-operation earlier in the 2020s. The locomotive will pull trains along the line on May 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th and 31st. Visitors can choose between private compartments, open seating and - in another innovation for the railway - a beautifully restored Inspection Saloon once used by senior engineers and officials. This vehicle offers a new, premium experience. The locomotive is appearing thanks to its owners at the National Railway Museum, who operate sites at York and Shildon in County Durham.

National Biscuit Day 29 May 2026 Celebrate National Biscuit Day with us at Didcot Railway Centre! Free Biscuits! We do love a biscuit and if you think there's something missing in life, it's almost always a biscuit! Did you even know there was a National Biscuit Day? We did, and steam engines were a vital part of the history of this British staple, transporting most of the output by rail. The biscuit came from the need for something nutritious and long-lasting and over time this eventually led to the baking of foods for a more reliable longer lasting source of food, which were vital for the military. Doctors also recommended that biscuits be eaten daily for sustenance to avoid illness. Bakers tried to create the hardest biscuits possible because over time they naturally go soft. When baked hard, biscuits could be stored for years without spoiling as long as they were kept dry. It was Huntley & Palmers who, in 1831, invented the decorative biscuit tin and this meant biscuits could be distributed all over the world. By 1900, Huntley & Palmers biscuits had been sold in 172 countries, demonstrating their global reach. They really led the way and now each country has its own national biscuit treasures. With our friends from Reading Museum, we have a display of many rare and interesting artefacts from their vast collection for you to see, including two of the rare surviving hard biscuits that would have been taken to the front line. As you'll be able to see, these were actually quite inedible and often used to hold photographs of loved ones! See a beautiful replica headboard on our excursion train and take our biscuit trail, discovering fascinating facts about Huntley and Palmers along the way. Plus - free biscuits for all! Travel back in time to the golden age of the Great Western Railway and savour the sights, sounds and smells of steam as you explore this 21-acre living museum with trains dating from Victorian times to the 1960s.
The Mancunian Princess Friday 29th May 2026 Our train today offers a wonderfully relaxed opportunity to enjoy the 125 Group's High Speed Train on routes both familiar and less so to these iconic trains. We start the day on the delightful East Lancashire Railway where for some the opportunity to traverse the connection onto Network Rail metals will perhaps be a coup. We have another 'first' lined up later in the day though nothing about today's route is mundane. After reversing at Castleton we navigate our way around the suburbs of Manchester passing both Victoria and Piccadilly stations giving access to the West Coast Main Line that we will follow south. We follow the Trent Valley route as far as Bletchley where we deviate in order to navigate the flyover onto the recently reopened East -West line. Whilst we cannot with certainty say that this is the first HST unit to traverse the line, past opportunities to do so have certainly been few and far between. We pass through Bicester Village and onto Oxford where, in contrast to the line we have just passed over, High Speed Trains were until recently commonplace. This affords us the opportunity to reminisce as we enjoy what we hope will be a spirited run into London. After passing Hanwell, we deviate on the triangle towards Greenford thus enabling our access onto the Chiltern line. We journey north, passing Denham and High Wycombe before arrival at Princes Risborough where our train will stable overnight in anticipation of the following day's tour to Saltburn. Our sincere thanks our train operator, Hanson and Hall Rail Services, The 125 Group and The East Lancashire Railway for facilitating today's special train. Teddy's Nook Saturday 30th May 2026 Today's tour on board the 125 Group's High Speed Train takes us to some of the most attractive coastline in the country - we visit the striking sea-side town of Saltburn which boasts one of the world's oldest water powered funicular railway as well as a Grade II listed pleasure pier - the only remaining example in the North East of England. And if the beach in late Spring is not quite your thing - stay on board for an interesting mini tour as we head to Gatehead via the scenic Durham Coast. Our day begins in Princes Risborough as we depart towards London, calling at High Wycombe and, unusually, at Denham, both exceptionally well connected to the motorway network. At South Ruislip we leave the Chiltern Line and head towards the Great Western Main Line via the Greenford branch. Shortly after passing Ealing Broadway we once again deviate onto secondary lines (this time it's the West London line) as we pass over the West Coast Main Line at Willesden before arriving at the infrequently used Harringay Curve, which provides our train access onto the very familiar East Coast Main Line (ECML). We can expect our progress from this point to be much more expeditious as we head north through the home counties and into the agricultural counties of Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. We expect to pass both Retford and Doncaster at speed before easing for the unmistakable sight of York station. We leave the ECML at Northallerton and head into Teeside. The landscape changes accordingly so it will perhaps be a surprise for those customers leaving the train at Saltburn that such an endearing sea-side town co-exists with some of the country's most industrial areas. Visitors will have all afternoon to enjoy the town's many seaside attractions that range from the aforementioned funicular railway, the half mile long miniature railway, the historic pier, extensive sandy beaches, a diverse range of walks as well as the usual array of hostelries and eateries to be found at a holiday destination. You might also stumble across Teddy's Nook, a historic two-story stone cottage originally built in 1862 by town founder Henry Pease MP. It has a reputation for hosting famous visitors and eccentric residents, including reports of previous tenants keeping a pet lion which they exercised on the beach. The Durham Coast Mini Tour For those wishing to explore further afield we are delighted to offer a rather extensive mini tour around the picturesque Durham coast and returning via Durham and the ECML. On leaving Saltburn we retrace our steps to Middlesborough before diverting north at Bowesfield Junction and heading towards Hartlepool. From here we enjoy frequent views across the North Sea as we head through the primarily rural landscape towards Sunderland. North of Sunderland, our train shares tracks with the metro cars of the Tyne & Wear Metro. Indeed, 2026 is the last year that the original fleet of metro cars - which date back to the 1980's - are expected to be seen in service. As we approach Newcastle, most trains pass over Robert Stephenson's High Level Bridge but our train will divert left and unusually by-pass Newcastle passing instead the former Gateshead railway depot and joining the ECML for our fast run south. We pass Tyne Yard and Duham (with superb views of the cathedral to the left) before passing through Ferryhill sidings in order to reach the goods only Stillington Branch and then once again through Stockton and Middlesborough as we retrace our steps towards Saltburn. The Journey Home We expect passengers on the mini tour to enjoy a forty-five minute break in Saltburn before our train departs for the London area. We return to Northallerton where we regain the ECML for what we hope will be a spirited run along the main line. We are routed via Copenhagen Junction, Gospel Oak, Willesden and Acton Wells before once again navigating the Greenford Branch and the Chiltern Line back to Princes Risborough, bringing to a conclusion what we hope will be a memorable spring time visit to the North East of England. Our sincere thanks our train operator, Hanson and Hall Rail Services and The 125 Group for facilitating today's special train. All timings are provisional and intended only as a guide. The Royal Duchy Sunday 31 May 2026 These ever-popular summer day trips by steam train run from Bristol Temple Meads, Yatton and Taunton to Devon & Cornwall. The route includes travelling along the internationally famous sea wall at Dawlish, crossing Brunel's famous Saltash Bridge into Cornwall, and some of the most varied and exciting scenery in the country. Passengers can choose to spend time in Plymouth or travel on to Par, where buses are provided for visits to Fowey or Charlestown. Our train leaves Bristol Temple Meads steam hauled by the iconic No. 34028 Eddystone and stops to pick up further passengers at Yatton and Taunton. Almost immediately on departure from Taunton, our steam locomotive will be working hard as it tackles the climb to Whiteball Summit. We stop at Exeter St. David's station for our locomotive to take on water and for more passengers to join the train. We leave Exeter and follow the Exe Estuary to the seaside. We then travel along the famous sea wall between Dawlish and Teignmouth, an experience not to be missed. After Newton Abbot, our steam locomotive will demonstrate her real strength as she powers up some of the steepest main line gradients in the country. First there is the difficult climb to the summit at Dainton Tunnel, followed by a dramatic drop down to Totnes, then an equally difficult climb up Rattery Bank before descending to Plymouth. Passengers have the option to alight at Plymouth or remain on the train to Par. There will be over five hours free time to explore the historic maritime city of Plymouth which includes the Hoe, the ancient Barbican and seafront areas, and the National Marine Aquarium. We leave Plymouth, steam hauled, and cross the river Tamar on Brunel's masterpiece, the Royal Albert Bridge, to enter Cornwall. Our train continues through the magnificent Cornish countryside to Par, where there will be a break of more than three hours. Buses will take passengers from Par, at no extra charge, to visit either the picturesque seaside town of Fowey or the harbour village of Charlestown. The latter is a working port and home to the Shipwreck, Rescue & Heritage Centre. Our locomotive will turn and service at St Blazey's before we embark on our return journey. We leave Par steam hauled by our locomotive and stop at Plymouth to pick up those passengers who chose to alight there. Our train then returns to Bristol, stopping to set down passengers at Exeter, Taunton and Yatton enroute.
